Great Wheel wooden clock
Singular drive of the hour because not used in watchmaking. But Ulysse Nardin is using it in its luxury watches. This is a very simple model. Steelworkers will recognize the epicyclic train.
The motor Quartz located on the back drives the minute hand at the same time that the small sun gear 8 teeth. This pinion rolls the wheel 40 teeth in the fixed outer ring and therefore the hour hand. It is currently 11:16.
The frame is bamboo. The small gear is boxwood. Hands and wheel and crown wheel are birch aviation plywood. The pins are brass and chromed steel.
